One day a man is flying in a hot air balloon and realizes he is lost. He reduces height and spots a man down below. As he gets closer to the man on the ground, he shouts: "Pardon me, but could you help me? I'm about to be late meeting my wife and I seem to have gotten lost along the way."

Why don't people 'get' evolution?

Something dawned on me today. Well, it dawned on me long ago, but the articulation of it finally came to me just today.

Young earth creationists are all the rage in todays US society, claiming fault with evolution and whining to the courts that Intelligent Design isn't being taught. Much time and energy has been put forth to try to derail evolution as the de facto basis of biology in favor of a more religious (and slightly crazy) view that the world is only ten thousand years old, and Radiocarbon Dating is a tool of the Devil... And I think I might know why Joe Average refuses to consider evolution credible.

I've been thinking a lot (as usual) about Quantum theory. One theory in particular makes my brain hurt: the Many Worlds theory.

This is a script I put together to copy a file.

Simple right? Not exactly. I needed confirmation that it suceeded sent to an email address and a log file detailing if the copy was successful or failed and the reason why.

Given the ultra cheap price of storage these days, I thought I'd start working on a external drive array. After seeing the price of most four bay external drive housings, I decided to build my own in true Do It Yourself (DIY) fashion.

This is a script I nicknamed SLARP - Share Listener And Reporter Program. It should run on just about any Windows server, but I've only tested it to run on Windows 2003.

My company needed a quick and dirty way to be notified if any changes occurred to the shares on a specific Windows 2003 server. Auditing was turned on, but we needed to be notified to at least look at the logs within a certain time frame.
