Details

I recently had a D400 for a few days, so I decided to try the latest stable Ubuntu distro (at the time) on it, Ubuntu 6.06. Installation went without a hitch on the D400, I was very impressed with how easily it went. The only problem was wireless: there aren't any linux drivers for the Dell 1450 miniPCI card (that I can find anyway). D'oh!

ndiswrapper looks like the only available option for this and I haven't had a chance to try it yet.

Loose ends...

Dell 1450 Wireless

Obviously the wireless. I might try to get ndiswrapper running, but I loathe even thinking about it. But, without it, this laptop is next to useless.
